That unassuming title from the same team seemed to come out of nowhere (appropriate, given the ninjas?) and set my tactics brain on fire – complex, nuanced, detailed and intricate, it was one of the best experiences I had in 2017, and I was ravenous for more. The first two Desperados games never blipped on my radar since they didn’t come to console, but I surely do remember Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. WTF Why can’t I pick up ammo and give it to a teammate? LOW Playing 3/4ths of the boat level without knowing I could swim.
